Did anything unusual happen on the day of your win?
Oddly enough, yes! I had picked up an extra shift at the hospital for extra Christmas money. The night before, I had a dream I was in Las Vegas and had won a great deal of money. So, when I went to work, I was wishing I had the extra money from my dream which would enable me not to work so much and spend more time with my family.

What was your initial reaction to your big win?
My chin dropped to the floor, and I covered my mouth in awe. I stood up and started jumping around the room, throwing my hands in the air and repeatedly chanting: 'yes....yes....yes....yes!'

How do you plan on spending your winnings?
Merry Christmas! HO, HO, HO, here comes Santa Cheryl. I plan to take the top 10% and give it back to the Church. I will donate money to the education department at the hospital to buy new resuscitation dummies. The house needs all new thermal/modern windows, and the kitchen needs new flooring. I'd also like to build a deck out back, put in a large Jacuzzi, remodel the bathrooms, and pay off some bills.

What advice do you have for others?

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have a close family that I enjoy being with. I attend church functions and events. I work a lot, so I don't have much spare time outside of normal household chores and yard work.

A. A Bible - for study, daily direction, peace and comfort. B. Lip Moisturizer - I can't stand to have chapped lips. C. A big sharp knife - to cut, carve, make other tools, build a shelter, hunt and use for protection.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I am married, have a 10 year old son, and a large, close family. I live in a house, quaint and quiet, have several indoor and outdoor pets (an 18 year old cat which I raised since birth, 4 dogs and a rabbit). I am a trauma nurse in a busy emergency department, which drains me sometimes of my compassion. Otherwise, I'm just a good ole' country girl that can belch and fart with the best of 'em. My husband is a recreation director for mentally and physically handicapped children.
